Marty Peters is a versatile, swinging saxophonist and woodwinds player currently residing in New Orleans, LA. He received his degree from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of music in 2011, studying with many jazz professionals of Eric Alexander, Jimmy Greene, Ralph Lalama, Jon Faddis, Steve Wilson and others. He performed across many genres for varying artists on cruise ships for a few years before deciding to settle down in the musical city of New Orleans. There, he has been playing locally for the last three years, playing in multiple projects performing genres ranging from early R&B and traditional jazz to brass band funk and 50's hard bop among others. He performs close to 380 gigs a year, and does so with the philosophy that if you take care of the music, it will take care of you.
