Marty is a versatile, swinging saxophonist and multiple woodwind player currently living in New Orleans, LA. He received his degree from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music in 2011, studying with many jazz professionals, including Eric Alexander, Jimmy Greene, Ralph Lalama, Jon Faddis, and Steve Wilson. Marty performed across many genres for varying artists on cruise ships for a few years before deciding to settle down in the musical city of New Orleans. There, he has been playing locally for the last three years performing in multiple projects with genres ranging from early R&B and traditional jazz to brass band funk and 50's hard bop among others. With the philosophy “if you take care of the music, it will take care of you,” Marty plays nearly 380 gigs a year.
