2020 Music Hike II
Naturalist guides from Canyonlands Field Institute will guide the hike.
Enjoy a lovely hike to a natural setting ideal for acoustic music. Not for the average concertgoer! It's music in concert with the landscape® for the outdoor enthusiast.
Free Festival shuttle to the trailhead.
Not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
The hike requires a moderate level of stamina, agility and comfort with uneven footing and potentially some exposure on slick rock. Hiking/trail shoes are required. Comfortable outdoor clothing for a desert environment is recommended. Hiking poles are welcome.
Tickets are non-refundable.
Program and artists subject to change without notice.
Free parking for this event is at Helen M Knight Elementary School parking lot, at 505 N. Mivida Drive, across from the Moab Aquatics Center. Walk South across the street to Swanny City Park to rendezvous with the free Festival shuttle to the trailhead. Check-in and a brief orientation is at 7:45am. Restrooms are available at the Park.
Please consider planning extra time to reach HMK and Swanny Park due to road construction this season on North Highway 191. The shuttle departs for the trailhead at 8:00 am. Our anticipated return to Moab is at 11:30 am.
Please bring water, and if desired, a light snack. Hiking/trail shoes are required. Comfortable outdoor clothing for a desert environment is recommended. Hiking poles are welcome.
The hike can be sunny. It is recommended that you apply sunscreen, bring a hat and bug spray, and hydrate throughout.
No pets please.
These scenic hikes, one of our most popular events, offer unparalleled musical intimacy and engagement with the world-class artists that perform. Patrons are shuttled to an undisclosed location. There, a CFI naturalist familiarizes hikers with the terrain and leads the way to the scenic concert location.
