One of the prettiest river experiences you could conjure up, coupled with daily concerts by Moab Music Festival artists, enjoyable hiking, and archaeological, geological , historical and biological points of interest.

 

Adult: $1,800

A $500 non-refundable, tax-deductible deposit is required. Balance due June 15.

This is a multi-day river trip which includes a one-night hotel stay with a restaurant meal, and two nights of camping, with healthy outdoor fare. No prior rafting or camping experience is required.

Know before you go

This Musical Raft trip starts in Bluff, UT, September 13, with a restaurant meal and hotel overnight. The river portion of this experience includes three days and two nghts on the Sand Island to Mexican Hat stretch of the San Juan River.  This stretch is 27 miles long, with Class II rapids. Distinctive features include spectacular red rock and limestone canyon scenery, archaeology, history, geology, and desert wildlife.

The professional river outfitter for this trip is Canyonlands Field Institute.

Know the Venue

The river portion of this trip is on the Bluff to Clay Hills stretch of the San Juan River, sometimes known as the "Upper Section".

Historic Bluff, Utah is a relazed, small town with plenty of charm, surrounded by lovely sandstone ledges, beside the San Juan River.

The San Juan River is a largely wild-running western river, with a very large drainage and a fair drop from start to end. This means that rainstorms can afect the water level and color sometimes. Nonetheless, this is a stretch with relatively mild rapids and lots of liesurely, scenic float time.
