Floating Concert

Sunday, September 13, 2020 - 5:00pm

Claude Debussy: Sonata for Cello and Piano, L. 135

Franz Schubert: Piano Quintet in A major, D. 667  (“The Trout”)

Event Description:

After hors d’oeuvres and a cocktail or beverage, we board the mighty Queen, a low speed open air boat, which takes listeners upstream on the Colorado River. After a few miles, the boat will float silently while Festival musicians, including a grand piano, play a private sunset concert on the River, surrounded by canyon walls. A 7:30 pm return allows for an early evening or dinner following this magical experience. The program includes Debussy’s exquisitely subtle Cello Sonata and Shubert’s iconic “Trout” quintet, full of musical references to flowing water.

Tickets: $110

Ages 13 and above

In the event that the 2020 Festival is cancelled, tickets are refundable or may be donated for tax credit.

If the 2020 festival occurs, tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
