Event Description: 

Cellist Jay Campbell curates this program of the music of J.S. Bach and living composer John Luther Adams. The Jack Quartet, for whom Mr. Adams has written most of his string quartets, bring their expertise to his quartet the Wind in High Places interwoven with selections from Bach’s The Art of Fugue.

These scenic music hikes, among our most popular events, offer unparalleled musical intimacy and engagement with the world-class artists that perform. Patrons are shuttled to an undisclosed location. A Canyonlands Field Institute naturalist familiarizes hikers with the terrain and leads the way to the scenic concert location. Hike Level: Moderate, approximately 2 miles round trip.
