This scenic three-day/two-night scenic float trip on the gentle San Juan River blends daily concerts by Moab Music Festival Artists with one of the region's loveliest river experiences. Rapids are at a minimum, so there is time to take in the natural wonders, petroglyph panels, and Ancestral Pueblo ruins along the 27-mile long river section, which winds from Sand Island to Mexican Hat. A guide gives context for the natural and anthropological features, and violinist Cindy Wu and cellist/composer Clancy Newman play evening and floating daytime concerts of classical and original repertoire. The trip begins with a hotel and restaurant evening in historic Bluff, Utah. An abundance of aural and visual treasures await on the MMF’s newest Musical Raft Trip.
