Event Description:

Lovers of music, nature, and outdoor adventure will find the custom Musical Raft Trip through the Colorado River’s Ruby-Horsethief and Westwater Canyons to be the experience of a lifetime. The trip combines classic river trip elements - excellent whitewater, charming campsites, good food, hiking, swimming and relaxing - with daily concerts in the extraordinary settings along the river.

The world class artists and beloved Festival superstars violinist Francisco Fullana and cellist Jay Campbell will dazzle patrons with solo and duo repertoire from Bach to the music of living composers.
Participants enjoy three days/two nights of fabulous music and whitewater rafting down the Colorado River with expert guides, charming campsites, spectacular scenery, outdoor pleasures, and sumptuous meals from beginning to end. The Colorado River is surrounded by towering canyon walls and Precambrian rock formations and offers a unique perspective from which to experience the region’s unforgettable scenery, and natural and geologic wonders. At the trip’s outset, we drift at a leisurely pace along the Ruby-Horsethief stretches of the Colorado. Westwater Canyon itself is full of lively fun as the Colorado shoots  through a narrow black granite gorge, forming renowned rapids like Little Hummer, Funnel Falls, Last Chance and  the famous Skull Rapid.  Participants return to Moab on the evening Wednesday, September 2. This is an exceptional way to bring your inner rhythms in tune with the river.
