Music Education
Directed by its Mission, the Moab Music Festival provides “cultural enrichment and education” in the local community. Since 1992, these efforts have produced a variety of programs for both children and adults, helping them learn more about music and explore their own musical talents and interests.
In 2009, the Festival conducted two such initiatives: School Assembly Program
Every child enrolled in the Grand County School District enjoyed an assembly during the 2009 Festival. At these in-school events two Festival programs were presented in an accessible, age-appropriate format to students. Teachers had the opportunity to access on-line materials which helped them connect the programs to what they might be teaching in the classroom. More on School Assembly Programs
Moab Artist-In-Residence Programs
The Festival brought professional musicians to Moab to present performances for the community, coach local musical groups, support Grand County School District Music Teachers with Master Classes and conduct independent music classes for adults and or youth to enhance the communities musical capacity.
