During the 2010 Festival every child enrolled in the Grand County School District's Helen M. Knight School and students at the Moab Community School, had the opportunity to attend an in-school Assembly based on the Festival concert program Music at Jefferson's Monticello curated by fiddler Paul Woodiel and featuring flutist and piper Christopher Layer, fiddler and singer Mazz Swift-Camlet, guitarist and banjoist Jerron "Blind Boy" Paxton and glass harmonica virtuoso Dennis James.

Grand County High School and Middle School students had the opportunity to a special Teen Concert at Star Hall featuring the string "band" ETHEL in the week before the opening of the school year.
